The 30-Day Campaign Launch Checklist

Most campaigns lose their first month to sequencing errors — not to a lack of effort. Work that had to happen in week one gets discovered in week four, and everything downstream slips. This is the order that keeps you out of trouble.

Week 1 — Become a legal entity that can accept money

Nothing else can start until this is done, and every day of delay is a day you cannot fundraise. Do these in parallel, not in sequence:

The one thing people skip: read your jurisdiction's actual contribution limits and reporting deadlines before you take the first dollar. Refunding an over-limit contribution in November is a story. Never accepting it is not.

Week 2 — Get the data before you need it

Data acquisition has lead times that surprise first-time candidates. Start it now so it is sitting there when the field plan is ready.

Week 3 — Decide what you are actually saying

Message discipline is the cheapest advantage in politics and the one most campaigns abandon first. Do this work while there is still time to think.

Week 4 — Start the machine

Now the recurring work begins, and it never stops until election day. The goal of week four is to make each of these a habit rather than an event.

What week five looks like if you did this right

You can accept money legally. You know your win number and which precincts contain it. You know what you are saying and what the other side will say about you. Your list is growing daily, your compliance runway is under way rather than blocking you, and call time is a habit instead of a dread.

None of that is glamorous. All of it compounds. Campaigns are usually not lost in the final week — they are lost in the first month, quietly, and the bill arrives later.

Renegade Intel runs this checklist as a live setup process.

The setup checklist inside the app ticks off when the work is really done — not when you say it is — and the Daily Plan carries unfinished items into tomorrow.
