Privacy Policy

Renegade Creative ("Renegade Intel," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers the Renegade Intel app, the renegadeintel.com website, and the campaign websites, donation pages and sign-up forms we host for our customers (together, the "Service").

The short version

• We do not sell personal information, and we do not sell or publish your chats.
• A campaign's contacts belong to that campaign. Voter, supporter, donor and volunteer records are used only to run the Service for the campaign that holds them — never shared with another campaign, never used to train AI models, never used for our own marketing.
• To answer your questions, the Service sends your messages to AI providers that act as our service providers. On their business/API terms, they do not train their models on your data by default.
• Our marketing website uses advertising cookies to measure and retarget our own ads. You can turn them off at any time with Your privacy choices in the site footer, and we honor Global Privacy Control.
• You can delete your conversations, and you can delete your account and its data.

1. Two roles: our customers' data, and yours

When a campaign uses Renegade Intel to store and contact voters, supporters, donors and volunteers, the campaign (or the organization that holds the account) decides what data it collects and how it uses it. For that data we act as a service provider (processor): we store and process it only on the campaign's instructions, to provide the Service to that campaign. If you are a supporter, donor, voter or message recipient with a question about how a campaign uses your information, contact that campaign; we will help the campaign respond, and you can also write to us (Section 13).

For account holders and website visitors, we decide how the data is used, and this Policy describes it.

2. Information we collect

From account holders

• Account information: your name, email address, organization, role and authentication details.
• Content you submit: your questions, and any files, images, audio or video you upload or record ("Inputs"), plus the responses generated for you.
• Billing information: your plan, subscription and prepaid-balance status. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number.
• Usage and device data: logs needed to operate, secure and improve the Service (for example, timestamps, IP address and error reports).

On behalf of campaigns (supporter and voter data)

• Voter and contact records a campaign imports or enters: names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and fields from public voter files such as registration and vote history.
• Notes a campaign records about a person — for example, issues they care about, whether they support the candidate, volunteer interests, and the results of a door knock or call. Information like this can reveal a person's political opinions, so the Service treats it as sensitive: it is visible only to the campaign's own team and is never used outside that campaign.
• Donor information collected on donation pages: name, address, email, employer and occupation (which campaign-finance law requires campaigns to collect), and the amount and date of each gift. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see the full card number.
• Sign-ups and event RSVPs submitted through campaign websites, forms and event pages.
• Messages: the texts and emails a campaign sends and the replies it receives, along with delivery status and opt-out records.

• Cookies and similar technologies (Section 6), and anything you choose to send us, such as a booking or contact form.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• provide the Service — including storing a campaign's records, delivering its texts and emails, processing donations, and generating AI responses;
• maintain accounts, history, teams and permissions;
• process subscriptions and payments and prevent fraud and abuse;
• enforce messaging rules — for example, honoring opt-outs and quiet hours, and keeping the records carriers and email providers require;
• provide support;
• secure, troubleshoot and improve the Service; and
• comply with law and enforce our Terms.

We do not use supporter, voter or donor data for our own marketing, we do not combine one campaign's records with another's, and we do not use any customer's data to train AI models.

4. AI providers (how your chats are processed)

To generate answers, we send the relevant parts of your conversation to AI providers that process the data on our behalf, as service providers, to return a response. Depending on the model you use, these may include Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (ChatGPT), Google (Gemini), xAI (Grok), and Moonshot AI’s Kimi, which we run on Fireworks AI’s US-only servers with no data retained. On these providers' business/API terms, they do not use your data to train their models by default, and they process data in the United States or comparable jurisdictions.

DeepSeek (optional, off by default). The DeepSeek model is opt-in. It is not used unless you explicitly turn it on. DeepSeek is operated by a China-based company and, if you enable it, your messages to that model may be processed on servers in China under that provider's terms. If you do not enable DeepSeek, your data is not sent to it — including when another model is unavailable. If every model you have enabled is down, we tell you so rather than quietly routing your message to DeepSeek.

Web search (Tavily). When a feature needs current information from the web, the search query — which may contain text drawn from your prompt — is sent to Tavily, a US-based search service, which returns page summaries we pass to the model. Only the query leaves; your conversation history, contacts and campaign data do not.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only:

• with service providers that help us run the Service, under agreements that limit their use of the data to providing services to us:
  • Supabase — database, sign-in and file storage
  • OpenAI — transcribing audio and video you upload or record, whichever chat model you use
  • Stripe — payments, subscriptions and donations
  • Bandwidth — text messaging and phone calls
  • Amazon Web Services — email delivery and text-to-speech
  • Google Cloud — AI (Gemini), text-to-speech and address lookup
  • ElevenLabs — voice and audio generation
  • Shotstack — video rendering
  • Postiz — social-media publishing, when a campaign connects its accounts
  • Mapbox and the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder — turning addresses into map locations and districts
  • Cicero — looking up elected officials and districts
  • Tavily and GNews — web and news search (queries only)
  • Sentry — error reporting
  • Railway and Expo — hosting and background processing
  • the AI providers in Section 4
• with the campaign an account belongs to — for example, a donation or sign-up goes to the campaign whose page you used;
• with advertising partners, from our marketing website only, as described in Section 6;
• to comply with law, a valid legal request, or to protect rights, safety and the integrity of the Service; and
• in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), subject to this Policy.

We do not sell personal information. Supporter, voter, donor and message data from the app is never shared with advertising partners.

Mobile opt-in data and SMS consent. The categories above expressly exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, share or transfer anyone's mobile phone number or SMS consent to any third party. Mobile opt-in data is disclosed only to the messaging vendors that deliver messages on a campaign's behalf, solely for that purpose, and to no one else. This exclusion applies notwithstanding any other sharing described in this Policy.

6. Cookies and advertising on renegadeintel.com

The Renegade Intel app does not use advertising cookies or pixels. Our marketing website (renegadeintel.com) does:

• Google Tag Manager, which loads Google Analytics and Microsoft Advertising measurement and our programmatic advertising partner, Basis;
• the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram); and
• the LinkedIn Insight Tag.

These record which pages you visited and which buttons you pressed, so we can measure our own advertising and show our ads to people who have visited the site. Under some US state laws (including California's), this is "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not send these partners names, email addresses, phone numbers or any campaign, voter or donor data.

Your choices: these cookies are on by default, and a notice tells you so on your first visit. Turn them off at any time with Your privacy choices in the footer of any page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out automatically. We keep your choice in your browser for up to 12 months. Essential storage that keeps the site working, and remembers your choice, is always on.

7. Messages to supporters: opting out

Campaigns send texts and emails through the Service. To stop texts from a campaign, reply STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT); the Service records the opt-out and blocks further texts to that number from that campaign. To stop emails, use the unsubscribe link in any campaign email. Opt-outs are honored automatically and are never overridden by a later list import. Message frequency varies by campaign; message and data rates may apply.

8. Storage, security and retention

Your data is stored with our infrastructure providers in the United States and protected by measures including encryption in transit, database access controls that keep each organization's data separate from every other organization's, role-based permissions within a team, and audit records for billing and account changes. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

We keep information for as long as the account is active, or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations — for example, campaign-finance, tax, and carrier record-keeping requirements. You can delete individual conversations in the app. Deleting your account (Settings → Delete my account, or email privacy@renegadeintel.com) deletes your account and, for any organization you are the only member of, that organization's records — including its contacts, donors, messages and files — except where we must retain something by law. If a subscription lapses, uploaded media is kept for a grace period and deleted afterwards; we notify the account owner before that happens.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (including under laws such as the California, Texas and other state consumer-privacy acts), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sharing" of your information, and to appeal a decision about your request. To opt out of advertising cookies, use Your privacy choices on our website or send a Global Privacy Control signal. To exercise any other right, email privacy@renegadeintel.com. If your information is held by a campaign that uses our Service, we will pass your request to that campaign and help it respond. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

10. Children

The Service is for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

11. International users

We operate in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States and, only if you opt in to DeepSeek, potentially in China.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, in-app or by email). The "Effective date" above shows the latest version.
