HQ — Run the Org
HQ is where you manage the organization itself: who's on the team and what they can touch, your campaigns and clients as separate workspaces, your plan and billing, and your data. Open it from the HQ module in the left rail.
Workspaces & Team
What it does
One screen for your whole organization — its name and settings, its workspaces (campaigns or clients), and every person on the roster with a real role. Owners and admins manage the team; everyone else sees the roster read-only.
Before you start
You need to be an owner or admin to edit the org, invite people, or change roles. Everyone can set their own display name.
Steps
- Open HQ → Workspaces.
- Click Edit on the Organization card to set the name, type (campaign, PAC, nonprofit, agency…), time zone, legal/committee name, election date, and opponent name. The election date and opponent drive your Daily Plan — fill them in.
- To add a campaign or client, type a name under Workspaces and click Add.
- Type your name in "Your name (shown to your team)" and click Save — teammates see a name instead of your email.
- To invite someone, enter their email under Invite Someone, pick a role chip, and click Invite. They join automatically the first time they sign in with that email — no invite link to chase.
- To change someone's role later, tap their name chip below the roster, then tap the new role. Remove takes them off; Revoke cancels a pending invite.
Roles you can hand out: Admin (manages the team and everything), Strategist (full tools, no team management), Creator, Analyst, Publisher, Approver, Viewer, External (limited vendor/guest access). Owner isn't invitable — it's transferred deliberately.
Pro tips
- Give vendors External, not Viewer — it's built for guests.
- Invited people show as "Not signed in yet" until their first login, so you can see who hasn't shown up.
Library
What it does
Every asset your organization has created — clips, designs, voiceovers, social posts, press, email — in one browsable grid.
Steps
- Open HQ → Library.
- Use the filter chips at the top (All, clip, image, audio…) to narrow by type.
- Each card shows the type, when it was made, and its status. Click Open on any card that has a file to view or download it.
Pro tips
- The Library fills itself — anything you make in Studio lands here automatically. If it's empty, go make something.
- Card colors match asset types, so you can scan a big library fast.
Plan & Billing
What it does
Shows the three plans — Operative, Kitchen Cabinet, and War Cabinet — plus the Creative Studio add-on when available, and lets you upgrade, manage, or cancel. Payment runs through Stripe Checkout; you never enter a card inside the app.
Steps
- Click your avatar (or the gear) at the bottom of the left rail to open the Plans screen.
- Your current plan is marked Current plan. To upgrade, click Choose on another tier — you're taken to Stripe's secure checkout, then returned to the app with the new plan active.
- To update your card, change plans, or cancel, click Manage or cancel subscription — this opens your Stripe billing portal.
Pro tips
- Plans renew monthly until canceled; cancel anytime from the billing portal.
- On the phone apps, subscriptions are view-only — buying and managing happens on the website.
Export Your Data
What it does
Downloads your organization's data — contacts, donors, contributions, field work, events, messages, surveys, intelligence, assets, and more — as one JSON file. Your data is yours.
Before you start
Owner or admin only, and it works on the web app (it's a browser download).
Steps
- Open the Plans screen (avatar in the left rail).
- Scroll down and click Export my data.
- Your browser downloads a renegade-export JSON file. The file notes any table that was skipped (not applicable to your account) or capped at 50,000 rows — contact support if you need a full extract beyond the cap.
Pro tips
- Every export is logged with who pulled it — it's a bulk read of your whole CRM, so treat the file carefully.
Delete Your Account
What it does
Permanently deletes your account. Any organization you alone own is erased with it — contacts, donors, messages, everything. Organizations you share with a team stay intact for the remaining members.
Steps
- Open the Plans screen (avatar in the left rail) and scroll to the bottom.
- Click Delete account.
- A confirmation appears: "Permanently delete your account and all its data? This can't be undone." Click Yes, delete to confirm, or Cancel to back out.
- You're signed out and returned to the login screen. Local data on the device is wiped too.
Pro tips
- Run Export my data first — there's no undo.
- If you just want to stop paying, use Manage or cancel subscription instead. Canceling billing doesn't delete your data.
Texter & Volunteer Logins
What it does
Gives volunteers their own stripped-down login. A person you add to the texting roster signs in with their email and lands in the volunteer console — four tabs (Texts, Calls, Doors, GOTV), no admin screens, no eight-module workspace to learn. Their work logs under their name.
Before you start
You need to be a supervisor on the texting roster (the first person in the org is one automatically).
Steps
- Open Communications → Texters.
- Enter the volunteer's email, pick Texter or Supervisor, and click Add to roster. They're active the first time they sign in with that address.
- When they sign in, they get the volunteer console automatically: Texts (reply to inbound with your approved scripts), Calls (work the phone-bank list), Doors (log door knocks), and GOTV.
- Back on the Texters screen, watch the roster: texts sent, voter contacts logged, and how many replies are waiting on each person. Use Pause/Resume to control access and Make supervisor/Make texter to change roles.
Pro tips
- Texter vs. Supervisor is about blast radius: a texter replies to one voter at a time; a supervisor writes scripts and can text the whole list. Promote sparingly.
- Volunteers in dead zones don't lose work — logs queue on the device and send when signal returns.
